Flight of the Navigator (1986)

Flight of the Navigator (1986)

"This is a film with its head in the clouds, its feet on the ground and – just often enough – its heart on its sleeve" – The New York Times

A special 40th anniversary screening of this cult 1980s family science-fiction film that combines two of the decades biggest pop culture obsessions: aliens and time travel.

One night in 1978, 12-year-old David Freeman is knocked unconscious while out in the woods. When he awakens, 8 years have passed, but he hasn’t aged a bit. Meanwhile, NASA has recovered a crashed spaceship and discovered that this is somehow connected to David. David goes to the NASA research facility so they can learn more, and stumbles across the truth: he has a telepathic connection to the spaceship, and now it needs him to get back home.

Directed by Randal Kleiser (Grease), Flight of the Navigator features an all-star cast including Veronica Cartwright (Alien), Sarah Jessica Parker (Footloose) and the voice of Paul Reubens (Pee-wee's Big Adventure).

Parental guidance: Some scenes may scare sensitive viewers.
